Janelle Bartow, Acupuncturist (L.Ac)

Janelle studied Comparative Religion at The Evergreen State College and went on to complete her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine at The Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine, a school known for its strong herbal program and Japanese acupuncture, which utilizes thinner needles and a more gentle technique.  She worked in a birth center in Tacoma, WA where she interned with midwives to help women have a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Janelle established a thriving practice in Tacoma in a chiropractic and massage clinic where she treated chronic and acute pain, sciatica, migraines, infertility, women's health and anxiety/depression.  Her clinical reputation earned her the privilege of being an externship host for Tacoma Family Medicine: a clinic for an under-served population that is staffed by M.D.s  in their first year of residency.

Janelle was born in Southern Oregon on acreage where her family raised and grew much of their own food. She remains in touch with the cycles of nature and loves to support local agriculture. She believes that quality food is key to good health.  In 2015 she returned home to Oregon and lives in Bend. When not treating patients, Janelle can be found on the trails marveling at plants and enjoying the sun. She and her husband love to travel, especially to Buddhist sites around the world.
